PATHOLOGY EDUCATION
In February 2015, Pathologists Dr Roy King (United States), Dr Neil Coleman (United States), and Dr Judy Whitaker (South Africa) gave a comprehensive series of undergraduate pathology lectures over two weeks to the third-year medical students at the NUST School of Medicine in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Dr Whitaker is originally from Bulawayo and attended Townsend High School.
The lecture series was organized at the invitation of Dr Noma Ndiweni, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Dr Roger Chigangacha, head of the NUST Department of Pathology.
For the first time ever, live interactive lectures were provided to the students of NUST School of Medicine by Dr Coleman from Knoxville, Tennessee. Thanks to Zoom technology for making this video conferencing possible!
